Two Supreme Court rulings are impelling the United States to a calamitous conflict

The Supreme Court of the United States is lighting the fuse on a volatile keg of rage, incitement, inequity, and division; with two life-and-death decisions that spin the the world’s second largest economy into turmoil and chaos.

The politicised justices of a supposedly impartial court declared they are protecting life by abolishing women’s autonomy over their own bodies. And eased the ability to take life by ruling that the right to carry firearms can in no way be limited or constrained.

Thus a woman seeking to prevent or end pregnancy after being sexually assaulted can be charged with murder. And the rapist has the convenience of carrying a gun with no restrictions to abet his crime.

While more than a dozen states make no exceptions for rape or incest in a total ban on abortion, that’s not nearly enough for the patriarchs and phallocrats determined to legislate control over women’s autonomy, dignity, and self-worth. Some states are even scurrying to restrict contraception, and more specifically to ban the “morning after pill” which prevents conception.

America’s conservative politicians and jurists, overwhelmingly men, are self righteous and triumphant as…
